Rhode Island DEM Approval
As of November 25th, the Rhode Island DEM (Department of Environmental Management) approved the MWS Linear stormwater treatment system as an authorized Best Management Practice. The Department has reviewed the system’s performance and determined that it achieves the following minimum removal efficiencies:
- 85% removal of total suspended solids (TSS)
- 60% removal of pathogens
- 30% removal of total phosphorus (TP) for discharges to freshwater systems
- 30% removal of total nitrogen (TN) for discharges to saltwater or tidal systems.
